Dr. Christine Adamo
WELCOME

Hello and welcome!  My name is Dr. Christine Adamo. I'm an Integrative Oncology Specialist with more than 17 years of experience helping individuals navigate cancer with confidence, clarity, and support.

My specialty is integrating safe, effective, evidence-based natural therapies alongside conventional cancer treatments. I believe cancer care should extend beyond the disease itself and address the whole person... body, mind, and spirit.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients and witnessing the challenges, questions, and uncertainties that often accompany a cancer diagnosis. I created Integrative Oncology Specialist to provide trusted education, practical guidance, and evidence-informed resources for individuals seeking to take an active role in their care and well-being.

WHY I CHOSE INTEGRATIVE ONCOLOGY

My passion for oncology began long before I entered the field of medicine. When I was five years old, my father was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I vividly remember the confusion and fear I felt when I learned he was sick . Although I was young, that experience left a lasting impression on me and became my first introduction to the profound impact cancer can have on an individual and his/her family.

Years later, after my own health journey led me to pursue a career in integrative medicine, I decide to specialize in oncology. I felt called to support individuals facing one of life's most difficult challenges and to help them navigate their care with knowledge, confidence, and hope.

In February 2021, cancer reentered my life when my father was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer. His journey was complicated by delayed diagnosis, kidney failure, and significant suffering. As both the daughter and doctor, I became his strongest advocate, helping him navigate complex medical decisions, coordinating care, and supporting him throughout every stage of his illness.

Walking alongside my father during his cancer journey deepened my understanding of what patients and families experience. It strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and reinforced the importance of having a knowledgeable advocate during times of uncertainty.

Today, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to the work I do. As an Integrative Oncology Specialist, my goal is to educate, empower, and support individuals affected by cancer by providing trusted information and evidence-based guidance that complements conventional medical care.

My work in oncology is more than a profession, it's my ministry and God's will in my life.  It's a privilege to serve my patients and their families, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience in support of their care.

MY APPROACH TO CANCER CARE

My approach to cancer care is centered on the integration of evidence-based conventional oncology with carefully selected, science-informed integrative therapies that support the whole person, not just the disease. I believe optimal care is achieved when patients are empowered with clear, trustworthy information and are active participants in their treatment decisions. I focus on individualized strategies that include clinical nutrition, functional medicine, evidence-informed natural therapeutics, and oncology acupuncture, all thoughtfully aligned with each patient’s medical treatment plan. Equally important is addressing the emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of healing, which are often overlooked but essential to overall well-being. My role is to serve as an educator, guide, and advocate, helping patients and families navigate complexity with greater clarity, confidence, and support throughout every stage of the cancer journey.
